Creative Circuit Studios is joining forces with a Graduate Capstone project for the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX to bring to light the difficult realities of mental health and graduate students. The Capstone student firmly believes that art, specifically theatre, can and should be used as a tool for social change and awareness.
After having read a recent study about poor mental health in graduate students across our nation, and surveying graduate students representing her own school and multiple universities throughout the nation, she was inspired to join forces with the annual One Act Series Event, which features talented playwrights like yourselves. Together, we can create a powerful evening of performances that gives back to the community and hope to those affected by your works.
Playwrights must submit the following information in an email, plus your script attached in WORD or PDF format to projecttheatre2019@gmail.com by MIDNIGHT March 31, 2019.

- Name of Playwright/Name of Show as subject line of email
- Contact information (Name, telephone number, email)
- Play synopsis & Cast breakdown
- List of previous productions/publishings/applicable pertinent information.
- All submissions should be between 5-15 minutes.
- All submissions should explore the topic of mental health (anxiety, depression,
- PTSD, or other depressive disorders) and graduate school.
- Submissions should ideally contain between 2-6 characters.
- Plays with extensive technical requirements will be considered but those with
- fewer demands will receive stronger consideration.
