PARAGON is a short-play festival dedicated to furthering Otherworld's mission of growing the genre of Science Fiction and Fantasy Theatre through the discovery and promotion of new playwrights and works. This annual event began in 2014 and we have presented 40 new science fiction and fantasy plays over this one-weekend festival every year since. 2019 will mark year 5.
PARAGON returns in the fall of 2019 and we are actively seeking playwright and director submissions. If you are interested in submitting your play or applying to direct a play, check out the guidelines below!
Due to the number of submissions, we will only be able to contact you if your play has been selected. Rejection letters will not be sent.
Submission deadline and selection announcement dates are TBD.

- Your play must be within the genres of Science Fiction and/or Fantasy, or contain Sci-Fi or fantastical elements.
- Your play should be between five and 60 minutes in length.
- Your play should be submitted in a PDF format.
- The play should unpublished, however we welcome submissions that have been featured in other festivals.
- You will retain full rights to the play and the text will not be altered in any way without your explicit permission.
