Here's hoping this attack by Israel is not the start of an attempt to "go big"- 

This was predictable. Israel is claiming they hit a chemical weapons centre- Coming, not coincidentally after  all the chemical weapons fear mongering yesterday. Not to mention Israel’s continuous barking.  (See relinked articles above) Now Israel can present itself as the 'good guy"
Rather then the reality of an aggressive, expansive neighbour in the region

Yup, Israel has been mad dog barking the last little while. Worse then usual.

Curious?  If this really was a chemical weapons facility wouldn’t airstrikes endanger the surrounding population?

Claims from Israel  the ‘chemical weapons centre” was hit before “Hezbollah could take over”. Unsubstantiated of course.

This airstrike was conducted near or at  Masyaf- 
Mas(s)yaf seemed familiar. After some digging I realized why that was.

Located in the north west of Syria

It seems more sensible that this was no chemical weapons facility, rather, possibly a site where missiles were manufactured. Some of the reports I'd read this morning suggest this is the case.

 
This Israeli strike was certainly close enough to the  Russian  base-
Which poses to many questions for me to ask here....
