This is getting ridiculous- The constant overwrought dramatics. The claim of the flooded doomsday vault is more glossolalia , always accompanied by hysteria, that leaves the sane questioning, coherent thinker wanting something tangible. Something factual. Something understandable!

 This type of spin follows a very predictable pattern of screaming headlines then later quiet clarifications- You can see this type of manipulation occur regularly and persistently regarding any and all concocted situations.  The flooded doomsday vault is a lie. LET'S GET REAL- The Doomsday Vault Isn't Flooded.....

 But according to one of the vault’s creators, the reports are pretty overblown and everything’s fine.Well, the vault’s fine.

 Cary Fowler, one of the creators of the vault:  “Flooding is probably not quite the right word to use in this case,” he told them. According to Fowler, a little bit of water has made its way into the entrance every year. Though he wasn’t present at the vault when the ‘flooding’ occurred this year, he insists that it’s a pretty routine occurrence.

“The tunnel was never meant to be water tight at the front, because we didn’t think we would need that”-

Before you jump to a foolish conclusion about why they didn't need to make the tunnel entrance water tight, read on.

“Basically, there’s a 100-meter tunnel that serves as a walkway into the mountain and it goes downhill. Before you reach the vault doors, the ground shifts uphill. This little area allows water to collect and two pumps can evacuate it”

I'll repeat that little tidbit

They planned for water removal via two pumps built in for just such a reason.  Knowing water would inevitably pool on a regular basis... which tells us they expected water to collect and they built in an ability for the water to be moved away

In fact, according to Fowler, if the water were to make it all the way uphill it would get hit with temperatures around minus 18 degrees celsius, freeze, and create a new barrier.

Minus 18 degrees celsius is plenty dam cold.( -0.4F ) In fact Fowler said if the water made it uphill it would freeze and create a barrier- Of course it would! Because it's very, very cold.
